The Chicago Sun-Times has published a revealing article on the impact of urban crime on the beleaguered city's school system. Since last September 36 Chicago Public School children have been killed by violence. Subsequently the lives of the impacted students reveal fear and despair for the young students attending Chicago's Public Schools.
The article clearly illustrates the continued sad state of public schools in our urban areas. Adverse conditions obviously afffect the opportunity to receive a quality education. This clearly impacts the student, and doesn't even take into account the teachers who work in the "rough" conditions.
