The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that First Lady Michelle Obama will be visiting Fairhill Elementary School in the North Philly today. It's good to see our First Lady visiting schools and speaking about child obesity. A very good look.

Welcome Back Eldrick!
Eldrick "Tiger" Woods reemerged from months of hiding yesterday allowing what appears to be a photo-op with him running with an unidentified man. Tiger will give a statement to selected persons of the press tomorrow morning but will not take questions. Already Tiger is being criticized for controlling how he reenters public life. Tiger already has paid dearly with his reputation being shredded due to his admitted indiscretions. He hasn't broken any laws of our land, and if he wants to make a statement without taking questions that's his right.
Personally I just want to see Tiger hit a golf ball. How he handles the situation with his family is entirely his business, and if he only wants to apologize and move on, he should be allowed.

Kwame Still Must Pay $79,000 by Friday!
Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick must still pay a court ordered restitution payment of $79,000 by Friday according to the Detroit Free Press. Kilpatrick's family members are asking for donations to assist Mr. Kilpatick since it appears that as of today he doesn't have the money to pay. The penalty for nonpayment of the restitution amount is not known, but considering that over $200,000 ran through the Kilpatrick's bank accounts in the last year, it won't be good for the former mayor if the payment can't be made.
