Despite her son, Kwame Kilpatrick's political woes, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick was re-elected yesterday to her congressional seat. Cheeks Kilpatrick only won by about 1,700 votes, her narrowest margin since she was first elected in 1996.
The residents of Detroit obviously still want one member of the Kilpatrick family serving in a political capacity. Thanks to the Detroit Free Press for the article.
