"Breaking News"

This is the new song titled "Breaking News" that has created controversy because some of his family members don't think the song is being sung by MJ. The vocals clearly sound like deceased "King of Pop" but unfortunately it sounds like a throw away song that Jackson never would've released on his own. Surely there have to be better songs that he recorded over the years that would create a quality product. Michael Jackson's musical legacy doesn't have to be tainted by releasing bad music.

Michael Jackson's Death, 1 Year Later!

Everyone remembers where they were when news spread that Michael Jackson died one year ago today. One year later, tribute and specials will abound in the name of the pop icon. The sad part of the story is that everyone who can is still trying to make money in the name of Michael Jackson. The money that is being generated through Jackson's estate is all legitimate money authorized in the name of the his estate's executors, however, the unauthorized documentaries, and lawsuits scream of exploitation which is not any different from when Jackson was living. I even understand the family continuing to make accusations against Dr. Conrad Murray, but the legal system will handle Murray in due time.

Today is a day to simply celebrate the greatness that was Michael Jackson's talent.

Michael Jackson Still Making $$$$$

Michael Jackson continues to make money for his estate after his death. It was announced yesterday that his estate has entered into an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment that will feature 10 projects over 7 years and could be worth up to $250 million. "This Is It" the movie featuring concert footage is a part of the deal, and reportedly generated $100 million in profits towards the estate. Also featured as part of the deal, is a reissue of the monumental "Off The Wall" and a release of previously unreleased music in November. Obviously we can't get enough of everything Michael!

Michael Jackson Getting Ready!

As Michael Jackson prepares to take the stage for his first extended tour in 12 years. I have no shame in saying that Jackson is my favorite artist of all time. Whether Jackson, now 50, can pull this off beginning July 8th in England is anyone's guess. Jackson is presently preparing in a Burbank sound stage 4 mornings a week for 6 hours, and the Los Angeles Times reports that the production budget for the tour is $20 million. Either Jackson will flake out and not make it through the tour, or he'll have one of the greatest comebacks of all time. I wish I was optimistic, but MJ's track record recently doesn't breed confidence that this will end well.

Michael Jackson Now A Muslim, And Called Mikaeel

The self proclaimed "King of Pop" has reportedly converted to Islam according to the New York Daily News, and changed his name to Mikaeel. I don't mean to be skeptical of Jackson's actions, but I wonder if this conversion has anything to do with the lawsuit that he's facing from Bahraini Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa who is demanding repayment of advances totaling $7 million, and Jackson is scheduled to testify at the trial on Monday.
