Yesterday the walls appeared to be closing in on Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick after Lt. Michael Kearns, a Detroit Emergency Medical Service worker, stated in an affidavit that he saw an upset Tamara Greene(shown at right) at a Detroit gas station in late 2002 according to an article in the Detroit Free Press. Greene is the dancer who allegedly performed at the infamous party held at the Manoogian Mansion where the mayor resides. She was killed the following spring while sitting in a vehicle with her boyfriend, and the crime remains unsolved. At the time of her encounter with Kearns, Greene stated that the mayor's wife had hit hit her, and thrown her out of the mansion.
It's always been suspected that Kwame Kilpatrick had some knowledge regarding Greene's murder. Kilpatrick for his part has always denied that there was even a party with dancers at the mansion. When the walls finally come tumbling down on Kilpatrick, it will be a massive avalanche for all of the dirt that's on his hands.
