I found this interesting story from the New York Daily News in which Jaretta Hamilton, who was a teacher at Southland Christian School in St. Cloud, Fla. requested to take maternity leave. This would normally be a simple request with most employers, however, Mrs. Hamilton, admitted that the baby was conceived 3 weeks before she was married, and subsequently was fired from her job for violating the terms of her contract forbidding premarital sex for school employees. Hamilton is now suing the school for discrimination.
