Just as he was probably used for money as he was living, people associated with Michael Jackson are making the rounds cashing in on his death. The New York Post reports that Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson's 2 older children has agreed to give up parental rights for $4 million. In addition, the 5 remaining brothers had an agreement with A&E in which they would have pocketed between $200,000 and $300,000 prior to Jackson's death for a reality show promoting a reunion tour. With Jackson now deceased, that figure has grown to $10 million and $20 million.
I wouldn't call any of this blood money, but I can understand why if true, Jackson was so untrusting. He obviously lived a very lonely life at times, knowing that people only had an interest in him for his money. Money truly doesn't buy happiness.

It's a shame, but it's the reality of being a superstar: even parents and relatives look at you and see dollar signs.
