Rev. Al Owes Feds $500,000 For Taking Illegal Campaign Contributions

The New York Post is reporting that Rev. Al Sharpton owes almost $500,000 in fines for financing his 2004 presidential campaign with illegal contributions. The Federal Election Commission has ruled that Sharpton mixed his personal and campaign expenses.

Sharpton has vowed to appeal, but I would assume that the fines continue to accrue the longer that he takes to pay them. He can't be feeling real good this morning.
