Is There Beef Between Maxwell, Jill and Erykah?

R&B singer Maxwell has been touring with fellow superstars Jill Scott and Erykah Badu for the past month to mainly sold out crowds. This week word leaked out that the second leg of the tour is either being postponed or cancelled due to friction within the camps of the three singers. The initial rumor has been that Maxwell's camp is not happy with the female superstars due to their sets going a little long. Jill Scott's people are denying any issues and Maxwell's publicist hasn't issued a statement regarding the matter.

New York dates at Madison Square Garden are completely sold out meaning this tour has the potential to make a lot of money for all parties. I would be a shame if egos derailed these talented performers from entertaining their fans based on the original tour schedule.

Jill Scott Being Sued By Hidden Beach Records!

Singer Jill Scott is being sued by her label Hidden Beach Records for breach of contract. The label, which filed suit in Los Angeles County states that Scott only released 3 albums of what has originally been a 6 album deal signed over 10 years ago. The label details in the suit millions of dollars in advances given to Scott over and above what was detailed in her recording contract according to abcnews.com.

Jill deciding to leave Hidden Beach after the success she's had is very interesting. She's one of the few artists who has a large enough fan base that she's probably at least guaranteed reaching gold status without much marketing. This one will be interesting to follow.

Jill Scott In A Good Place

Singer Jill Scott confirmed last week that she is pregnant and due April 25th. She's also celebrating starring in the HBO series "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency," which debuts on March 29th. Singer Jill Scott performed to a sold out audience last night in Atlanta, GA.. She also gave a brief interview to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Jill confirms that she is engaged and that her new Butterfly Bra is doing so well that it's on back order.

Jill is one of the phenomenal singers in the music business, as well as an actress, poet, and philanthropist. Keep up the good work Ms. Scott.
