Statistics show that crime in our major inner cities continue to spiral out of control with the nightly news blotters continuously showing violent crime after violent crime being committed. It's really sad when a reduction in crime is greeted with enthusiasm by many city officials. Have our standards for success sunk so low? The above link is to an article recently published by the Baltimore Sun highlighting the fact that violent crime in the city is trending towards it's lowest levels 1988, a year before crack infiltrated our inner cities.
